Manager, Tech Policy

We are specifically looking for someone with a strong foundation in areas such as data privacy, platform liability, and regulation of emerging technologies, to lead and manage projects in tech policy. Prior experience in tech policy is essential, given the nature of upcoming staffing needs.

As a Manager, you will be responsible for guiding your team through research and analysis, while owning client relationships. This includes supporting clients in designing advocacy strategies, building meaningful partnerships, and engaging with government, media, and other stakeholders in the tech policy ecosystem. You may also be expected to present evidence-based insights to policymakers to inform ongoing deliberations.

Beyond client-facing work, you’ll contribute to TQH’s thought leadership in emerging tech policy areas by leading in-house research and representing our work externally.

Lastly, you’ll collaborate with colleagues to strengthen civic engagement and participatory governance through support to YLAC’s initiatives.

Qualifications required

  • Degree from a reputed university in law/ public policy/ related fields or experience in public policy research, advocacy and government partnerships
  • 6-8 years of work experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to present information in a structured and insightful manner
  • Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a strong desire to learn new skills

Public Policy Team (Associate / Analyst / Senior Analyst)

We are looking for

Individuals who are keen to work at the intersection of policy, research, and advocacy. As part of the Public Policy team, you will contribute to research and analysis, support the development of evidence-based policy positions, and engage in shaping public discourse through writing and stakeholder engagement. You may also work on in-house research to build thought leadership on emerging policy issues and support initiatives that strengthen civic engagement and participatory governance, including through YLAC.

Qualifications required

  • A degree in economics, law, public policy, political science, or related fields, or relevant experience in policy research, communications, journalism, or advocacy
  • 1–2 years (Associate), 2–4 years (Analyst), or 4–6 years (Senior Analyst) of work experience
  • Strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Ability to present ideas in a structured and insightful manner
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a dynamic environment and a willingness to learn
