Sohini is a researcher with a Ph.D. in Sociology from IIT-Bombay. Her dissertation examined women’s political participation in India, for which she was awarded the Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship. Previously at Sattva Consulting, she contributed to strategic initiatives in Digital Public Infrastructures (DPIs) for climate and sustainability, while working on thought leadership publications on education, disability, and net zero transitions. As the co-founder of Alag Soch, a non-profit in West Bengal, she worked towards integrating social-emotional learning into school curricula across the state. Sohini’s work consistently emphasizes the intersection of research, stakeholder engagement, and impact-driven solutions. She blends academic rigor and practical experience spanning consulting and non-profit leadership to bring nuanced perspectives in addressing complex social challenges. In her previous roles, she has managed diverse teams and stakeholders across corporate, government, and grassroot levels. Besides work, Sohini enjoys mentoring aspiring scholars and reading fiction.
