Arushi is a Sociology graduate with a minor in Environmental Studies from FLAME University. She began her career as a fellow with Teach for India, where she taught English and Social Science to 8th grade students in Pune. Following that, Arushi joined the Delhi Commission for Women as a consultant where she crafted key recommendations for Central and State Governments on matters related to gender justice. She then served as a Legislative Assistant to Member of Parliament Ms. Swati Maliwal, focusing on policy analysis and legislative research.
Arushi’s research interests encompass gender justice, disability rights, climate action, and education, and she approaches her work with a strong commitment to feminist principles. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys reading fiction, spending time with horses, and painting.
