Aarathi Ganesan

Manager, Public Policy

Aarathi is a Manager at The Quantum Hub, where she co-steers research and advocacy related to gaming and AVGC-XR, digital public infrastructures, social media platforms, and the intersection of technology and foreign policy, among other streams.

Aarathi previously worked as an editor for over five years as part of the founding team of a longform public policy journal. Her later editorial stints saw her commission deeply researched technology policy and law explainers on topics like intermediary liability, DPI, cross-border data flows, and online gaming. Her work has been featured in leading law and policy publications, including Supreme Court Observer, The Bastion, MediaNama, Tech Policy Press, Splainer, and The Hindu, and has been cited in multiple leading technology policy research outputs. In partnership with leading Indian policy institutions, she has convened multiple workshops on public facing policy writing, led strategic communications and branding projects, developed curricula on Indian technology policy, and launched editorial partnerships with education, environmental, technology, and social policy institutions.

She is a graduate of Flame University and the University of Oxford, where her master’s work at the latter was awarded a first class with distinction, and unpacked how urban and socially privileged Indian women use the Internet to build new iterations of digital “feminism”, and the identity-based undertones of this politics. Aarathi is passionate about learning more about safe harbour frameworks, and writing about eating her way through new cities.
