Vaivaswatha holds a B.A. LLB (Hons.) from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata. She trained as a corporate lawyer at Trilegal, Mumbai and subsequently at AP & Partners, New Delhi, where much of her work sat at the sharp edge of technology and regulation — advising companies on data protection, cybersecurity and telecom compliance. Over the years, she has worked with clients ranging from global satellite internet providers navigating India’s regulatory maze to platforms grappling with questions of intermediary liability and content moderation. It was this front-row seat to how policy shapes — and often struggles to keep up with — technology that drew her toward public policy.
Outside of work, Vaivaswatha is a committed foodie and a loyal reader of suspense fiction. She is perpetually plotting her next escape to the ocean — ideally somewhere with good food and no wifi.
