An urban planner by training, Saksham completed his bachelor’s degree from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and brings experience at the intersection of urban planning, governance, and policy research. As a former LAMP Fellow, he worked as a Legislative Assistant to Dr. Pradeep Panigrahy, conducting legislative research, analysing budgetary allocations, and drafting policy briefs and speeches. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, he engaged in several projects on regional development, mobility, climate, and urban inequality in urban and rural areas across different states in India, working in close collaboration with various local governance structures.
Saksham’s academic and fieldwork learnings and experiences have contributed towards a strong interest in public systems, governance mechanisms, and policy research. In his free time, he likes watching football, singing, and traveling.
